50c Peace to Type IIA and IIB
Effigy in black from the proof of Workshop=Type4. Besides the Type I already compared...
On the right, the Type II whose centime "C" has been retouched (Cf dotted) and original hallmark in the Genesis section.
The Type IIB on the left has the bulging underwire, this is the only aspect that differentiates it from the Type II A on the right with a thinned underwire. There is strong reason to think that the type IIA results from the Type IIB by action of the engraver.
