Roulette stamps printed since 1933 are type IIB.

Peace Type IIB has the following characteristics:

  • The "C" of 50c is touched up with a more rounded final loop

 

  • Two solid lines under the belt buckle

 

  • And finally, what distinguishes it from Type IIA, a pronounced bulge under    “REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE”

A cylinder lathe prints 200 stamps spread over 10 columns, it consists of an assembly of four curved  service galvanos (GS). To make the printing continuous, the parallelograms (found on the sheet stamps) have been removed.
